The 2011 Nissan Rogue gets its first mini-makeover since joining the automaker’s lineup in the 2008 season. This comprehensive upgrading program adds a bit more edge to the appearance of this compact crossover and brings a host of new comfort/convenience features as well as modest gains in operating efficiency. Nissan also reshuffled the model lineup for 2011 to include the Rogue S, a new value-oriented SV trim, and the sporty Rogue S Krom Edition.
All versions of the 2011 Nissan Rogue boast a revamped front fascia and grille treatment, new front/rear spoilers, better-integrated tire deflectors and an extra helping of brightwork accent bits. The even more aggressively styled Rogue S Krom Edition also gains new 18-inch polished-alloy wheels, which are included in the optional SL Package, as well.
Also new for 2011 are low-rolling-resistance tires — but only on the SV’s 17-inch alloys — and an aero-enhancing underbody cover that helps bump the Rogue’s projected EPA fuel economy numbers by one mpg in the City mode for front-drive models and by an equal amount on the highway for all-wheel drive versions. As in 2010, a 2.5-liter/170-horsepower inline-four matched with Nissan’s Xtronic CVT continuously variable automatic will be found under the hood of all Rogue models, regardless of drivetrain configuration.
