GTR Driver-configurable Multi-Function Display system

Nissan is so serious about the 2011 GT-R they did the final testing and tuning at Germany’s famous Nurburgring race course. And it is one fast car; able to compete with Porsche’s formidable 911 GT3 supercar, which costs $30,000 more.

Each GT-R has a hand-built and individually tuned 485-horsepower twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 inspired by Nissan racing engines. The transmission is a dual-clutch automated-manual transmission with paddle shifters. Independent rear transaxle all-wheel-drive is standard, as are 20-inch forged aluminum wheels and the sports suspension.

The Nissan GT-R is a high-tech wonder with driver configurable transmission, suspension, and vehicle dynamic control (VDC-R) modes. Tires are high-performance run-flats filled with nitrogen to help keep their optimum inflation. There’s a multi-function display on the dash that serves as the entertainment console, GPS navigation, and can display engine tuning data or gauges (gauges, timer, data logging functionality). The large, center mounted tachometer displays gear and other vital data.

The 2011 Nissan GT-R starts below $85,000 and comes standard with XM satellite radio with XM NavTraffic, a Bose premium AM/FM/CD audio system with 11 speakers, including dual subwoofers, heated front seats, leather trim, dual-zone climate control, and speed sensing power steering.
