Cobra Technology & Lifestyle has released their upgrade package for the Nissan GT-R. The first power stage of the Cobra Nissan GT-R is expected to output 550 hp / 404.8 kW and 680 Nm of torque. The standard Nissan GT-R is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine that delivers 485 hp / 356.9 kW.
To get the extra power the Cobra Nissan GT-R has a re-programmed ECU, an increased boost pressure by 0.15 bar and sport air filters. Although it’s still under development, the Cobra Nissan GT-R will receive a free-flow COBRA N+ stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts.
The company expects the Cobra Nissan GT-R to reach 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds and to go up to a top speed of 320 km/h. As if these figures are not enough, the company plans to further increase the performance of the Cobra Nissan GT-R up to 620 hp / 456.3 kW and around 800 Nm of torque.
The Cobra Nissan GT-R price has not been announced but the tuners expects to put it on sale from the spring of 2009.
