nissan quest 2011 minor changes
Of the existing 2010 models currently available by Nissan, there are surprisingly few changes in store for the 2011 model year, but where the existing products have to settle with minor styling and option changes, Nissan will be adding three all-new models either by the end of this year or early next year. Currently, Nissan has a broad lineup of 16 vehicles that range from compact hatchbacks up to full-size pickup trucks, but the new models being introduced should help give Nissan one of the most diverse lineups in the industry.
One of the most important vehicles for Nissan coming up is the all-electric Nissan LEAF. The race for vehicle electrification will heat up when the 2011 Nissan LEAF goes head-to-head with the 2011 Chevrolet Volt as well as a handful of other electric vehicles in store for the North American auto market. While the LEAF might be getting most of the attention now, the Nissan JUKE will surely get its fair share of attention thanks to its polarizing style. Finally, the Nissan Quest minivan will make a return to the market following a one-year hiatus due to Nissan’s production juggling. Formerly assembled in Canton, Miss., the Quest will now be produced in Japan for its fourth generation. Both the JUKE and LEAF will be available by the end of this year, while the all-new Quest will go on sale in early 2011.
Aside from these three models, the only notable changes taking place for the 2011 model year are to the Nissan Rogue, Nissan Murano and the Nissan Pathfinder. Most of the changes to the 2011 Murano include the styling of the interior and exterior as the crossover gets an updated front end, new wheels and minor interior changes. As for the 2011 Rogue, it will get a more in depth exterior update with multiple updates including a new front fascia, rear spoiler and low-rolling resistance tires. The new Rogue will also receive the added convenience of an optional navigation system. Updates for the Pathfinder aren’t as severe as the Rogue or Murano, but it will get a special package to celebrate a milestone. The 2011 Nissan Pathfinder Silver Edition will mark the 25th anniversary for Nissan’s rugged SUV, and it will offer exclusive features such as unique leather interior, 17-inch wheels and special badging.
