The Nissan Leaf is powered by an AC electric motor that develops 80 kW and 280 Nm of torque. The company says the Nissan Leaf has a range of up to 100 miles on a full charge of the battery and that it can run with up to a 90mph top speed.

The Nissan Leaf UK price starts at 23,990 GBP, taking into account the £5,000 Government incentive for electric vehicles and the recently announced 20% VAT rate. The base Nissan Leaf UK price also includes the battery of the car.

Although the Nissan Leaf UK price is pretty high, the Japanese carmaker believes its new electric car will be a success, mainly for its low running costs.
